Review of Sleepers I, II, & III

This book has the first three books in the series. The first book really drew me in, despite the idiocy of the main character. I mean, I get it a lot of crap happened to her and ruined her life, but she still has a son that needs her and the way she treats others really ticked me off too, but when you get passed that, the premise of the book it very intriguing, back and forth between an apocalyptic thriller caused by man or caused by God or perhaps a little of both. The first book often moved my emotions which is the mark of a good book, I was really like what's going to happen next. The first book gets a 4.5, but after that the author seems to get lazy. The books get shorter, the scenes are less vivid, character deaths have much less emotions involved. There are some plot holes, but I don't mind them, because there are more books that can be used to fill them in. I was disappointed in that, because I wanted more revealed. Literally, book 3 felt like a short story. Rather than being the first three books, this should have been book 1. Also keeping the titles the same and just adding a different number also seemed a bit lazy, but hey, they do it with movies a ll the time right? It was a page turner, I read all 551 pages in about 14 hours. There's very little cussing, though there is some, and no sex, which I was glad of. There is also a lot of religious undertones, so if you don't like that, stay away. Overall, I will likely get the next in the series, cause I want to know what happens, and I hope the nexts ones are more satisfactory than 2 and 3.
