Review of the Land: Raiders (Book 6)

I enjoyed this one far more than the previous two books in the series. It felt like things actually started happening and there was less of the onerous immature jokes and womanizing. The MC seems to be growing up slightly, which makes me like him a bit more, but I enjoy it still when he struggles and gets dressed down by those more knowledgeable than him. I also quite enjoyed the fight scenes and  the fact that the author did not shy away from the realities of death and war and the way people react to those things. In this book the author was able to illicit a more emotional attachment out of me and I found myself tearing up at one point, but it was to a gnome widow with a baby. Now time to gear up for the 40+ hours of book 7!
